Taekwondo Club Maksimir is proud to act as the coordinating and hosting organisation of the Erasmus+ youth exchange “Code for Change: AI for Diverse Youth”, which will take place in Zagreb from 24.08. – 31.08. 2025.The project will bring together over 60 young participants from Croatia, Serbia, and North Macedonia to explore artificial intelligence as a tool for creativity and empowerment. The programme is specifically tailored for young people with fewer opportunities, including youth with disabilities, who will learn and grow together through inclusive and interactive workshops.

About the Project

“Code for Change: AI for Diverse Youth” is an Erasmus+ youth exchange funded by the European Union, focusing on accessible AI tools and digital empowerment. Participants will learn the fundamentals of artificial intelligence through practical, interactive, and inclusive methods—using tools such as AI text generators, speech-to-text applications, visual storytelling, and mobile-friendly apps.

As an experienced organiser of inclusive Erasmus+ youth exchanges, Taekwondo Club Maksimir brings its expertise in working with mixed-ability youth groups and ensures a supportive environment where each participant can grow, connect, and learn.

Why AI for Inclusion?

We believe that artificial intelligence can be a powerful equaliser—enabling young people from all backgrounds to develop skills, express themselves, and shape their own future. For many of our participants, this will be their first significant experience engaging with digital technologies.

By connecting artificial intelligence with self-expression, creativity, and intercultural learning, this project goes beyond technical knowledge—it builds community, confidence, and digital citizenship.

Project Objectives:

  • To empower young people by enhancing their confidence and problem-solving skills through hands-on AI projects and activities.

  • To foster a collaborative environment where participants can share ideas, build friendships, and motivate each other through teamwork and discussions.

  • To promote cultural exchange by exploring diverse AI applications and perspectives from various European countries, broadening their understanding of technology’s role.

  • To inspire youth to pursue personal development and leadership opportunities within the Erasmus+ framework and the field of AI.

  • To cultivate essential skills such as critical thinking, creativity, and resilience through engaging AI challenges and collaborative problem-solving exercises.
