Taekwondo Club Maksimir Hosts the Erasmus+ Project “Fight for Inclusion: Taekwondo as a Tool for Social Change” in Zagreb

Taekwondo Club Maksimir is proud to host and coordinate the Erasmus+ youth exchange “Fight for Inclusion: Taekwondo as a Tool for Social Change”, taking place in Zagreb from 29.06. – 07.07.2026.

The project will gather over 60 young participants from Croatia, Serbia and Romania for an international experience focused on inclusion, confidence-building, teamwork, and intercultural learning through taekwondo and non-formal education.

Designed for young people with fewer opportunities, including youth with disabilities, the exchange creates a supportive environment where participants can learn new skills, connect with others, and grow together.

About the Project

“Fight for Inclusion” is an Erasmus+ youth exchange funded by the European Union, using taekwondo as a tool for personal development and social inclusion.

Through practical workshops, team activities, and intercultural exchange, participants will develop discipline, self-confidence, communication skills, and resilience — regardless of previous sports experience.

As an experienced organiser of inclusive Erasmus+ projects, Taekwondo Club Maksimir ensures an engaging, safe, and accessible environment for all participants.

Why Taekwondo?

Taekwondo is more than sport — it teaches respect, perseverance, teamwork, and self-confidence.

By combining physical activity with intercultural learning, the project encourages young people to step outside their comfort zones, build friendships, and strengthen both physical and social skills.
